MAGU CROWNS MR and MISS MAGU 2019

The Malawi Assemblies of God University (MAGU) on 25^th May, crowned Mr. and Miss MAGU 2019 during an event organized by the college’s students union.

Eldridge Madalo Msona won the Mr. MAGU contest while Mildred Mungoshi won the Miss MAGU contest.

Eldridge is a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Development student and so is Mildred
Speaking in an interview, the newly crowned beauty queen said she is glad to have carried the day, promising to use her new position to champion education among girls among other duties.

“I feel so happy to be the 2019 Miss MAGU and I thank God for making it possible for me. I promise to champion girl education and to be in the forefront in the fight against HIV and Aids as I carry the MAGU flag,” she said.

The new Mr. MAGU expressed happiness for assuming the office and promised to work in the interest of fellow students.

“Winning Mr MAGU is a plus to me. It’s an honour and privilege that I do not take for granted and I pledge to work toward achieving our goals as MAGU students,” he said

MAGU entertainment director, Vitumbiko Banda said he was happy with the turn-up during the event.
