On 7th of December 2019,  Malawi Assemblies of God University hosted 2019 – 2020 National Bank Mo626 College Basketball Tournament. The host team welcomed LUANAR and Nalikule College of Education Men’s and Ladies teams. This was the launch of the 2019 to 2020 National Bank MO626 Season. MAGU Wolves picked up their first two wins of the season by beating LUANAR and Nalikule College of Education.

The Wolves showed so much Maturity and determination which showed a deep hunger for this year’s 1st Place Position. There was great coordination and teamwork which made them a tough side for both LUANAR and Nalikule.

The She Wolves lost one their first game to LAUANAR. However, they came back with a hunger for a win and pressured Nalikule and won their second game against Nalikule College of Education.

The games received a warm welcome by the MAGU students as they came out in their large numbers to support The Wolves but also to interact with visiting students. The atmosphere within the MAGU Campus was live as this was a rare sports treat for the students. National Bank as the sponsors of the Tournament gave the MAGU Basketball Court a face lift making it one of the venues that will be used throughout the Tournament.
