The Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Technology visits MAGU
The Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Technology says Malawi Assemblies of God University (MAGU) is among the private Universities in Malawi that are contributing a lot to the Nation in as far as higher education is concerned. The remarks were made during the visit of the committee at MAGU Campus which aimed at appreciating the good works that the University is doing to the Nation.
In a separate interview, the Chairperson for the committee Honorable Kaise was motivated with the successes that MAGU has made within the few years that the University came to its existence, he added that it is high time students should be imparted with skills that will help them to be self-reliant.
During the visit, the Member of Parliament for Mulanje South West Constituency who is also the Commissioner for the Parliamentary Service Commission and former Chairperson of Council of the University of Malawi Honorable George Chaponda has donated copies of his book titled “The Struggle for Economic Independence and Development in Malawi.” The book sheds more light on the historic approach to the study of the fight for economic self-rule in Malawi.
