Program Description

Monitoring and evaluation is an undergraduate degree program. This program will have a total of fifty course. Fourteen of which will be concentrations courses, ten MAGU distinctive course and the remaining twenty six are commerce common courses.

Program Aim

The program’s main aim is to guide students in understanding the methods and applications of monitoring and evaluation to improve performance and achieve results. The program shall offer the most comprehensive, up to date theory and practice of assessing the performance of projects, international organizations and NGO’S.

Program Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, students should be able to:

  1. Design data collection tools.
  2. Analyze data for project management.
  3. Formulate feasibility study of projects, budgeting and scheduling projects.
  4. Formulating strategies for planning and project execution.
  5. Administer leadership and governance for non-profit organization.
  6. Create indicators that effectively identify achievement of project outcomes.
  7. Create appropriate methods of analyzing, presenting and disseminating information to different stakeholders.

Mode of Delivery

Blended learning (also known as hybrid learning) whereby traditional classroom teaching is will be combined with online learning (digital library) and independent study, allowing the student to have more control over the time, pace and style of their learning. This can come in form of Regular, Evening/Weekend and ODL since most of our targeted groups will be employees in financial service sectors.

Program Eligibility

To qualify for this degree program, students will be required to be holders of six credit which must include mathematics and English or equivalent. These using the mature entry route must have a minimum of four credits plus two years relevant work experience.
