Procedure of Admission
Academic Requirements
An applicant must hold a ministry-related Master of Arts (MA) or MDiv from a recognized theological institution, demonstrating competence in the area of biblical and theological studies. At the postgraduate level, an applicant must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher on a 4-point scale to qualify for admission to the DMin program, and 3.5 or higher on a 4-point scale to qualify for admission to the PhD program
English and Writing Proficiency Requirements
The applicant must demonstrate ability in the English language to:
- study and write at a doctoral level;
- think and communicate logically;
- engage in effective critical analysis;
- organize a research paper in an academically credible manner
Design and Mode of Delivery
- This degree is a four year program, three years course work and one to a maximum of two years dissertation but with one more year extension for the dissertation, if need be, making a maximum of six years
- Students will be provided with a course syllabus with prescribed textbooks but no study guides
- The degree will require a lot of writing.
- The program will have pre-reading assignments, class work and in-class assignments and a final bigger project
- Very interactive and students engagement throughout the program.
- Part of the study will zeroing on class work, guided research as well as independent studies.
